I love reading your newsletters so much, it’s so obvious that you’re a founder’s investor and by extension, it makes other investors be intentional about being a founder’s investor. Your newsletters are often filled with great insights and actionable lessons for founders. Founders can learn to build better with advice from an investor with decades of experience and investors can learn how to build better relationships with founders. It’s amazing Chris, thank you!
Too kind. Ive been in the tranches since I was 16. 30 years. Loving the rough & tumble, the highs and the lows, the incredible moments & the crushing defeats! In there is Kinship between founders 🧡
They definitely have, I was able to follow along with their communications prior to the IPO and was impressed with what I saw coming from a nonpublic company. The fintech space is interesting, find myself cheering wholeheartedly for Klarna and Revoult, as it’s nice to see a couple of fintechs get to market without giving into the temptation to be acquired as so many have.
Same. However, I'm not a big email user and so sometimes "it's me. Not you!". Ie the audience has changed so much or inbox overwhelm is a major factor. All my reports come via a dedicated email or I log in directly to a dashboard. That inbox is clean 😅

Feel like Klarna really did a beautiful job on this front as they’ve grown towards IPO.
They've had some erratic public coms but the investors have shown real staying power - the stock is 11% off since the IPO (not so good 🤕).

We need a good window of healthy exits for the ecosystem to thrive as the money ♻️ recycles
I’d imagine. Hope you’re having a great weekend, Chris.
I ask “Does anyone actually read this” after I write anything at all, including emails 😅
