The forward deployed executive trend is basically Palantir's FDE playbook getting forced onto every AI startup because implementation is now the hard part, not the model. I've watched two portfolio companies pivot their entire GTM around this - hiring engineers who can sit with the customer for 3 weeks instead of handing off to a generic CS team. It's expensive short term but it's turning into the actual sales motion for enterprise AI deals.

The diligence-on-yourself line is the one I'd have led with.

I ran mine last week.

On my own publication, not a prospect's.

It came back 2.5 out of 4:

Both gaps were structural.

And both had been sitting there for months, in plain sight.

So why hadn't I seen them?

Because...

Nobody had opened the file.

Here's the uncomfortable bit:

It isn't finding the weakness.

It's finding out how long it was visible.

Good roundup.
