I completely agree with the idea of moving people into the right seat rather than showing them the door.
I’ve seen talented team members transform once their role actually matched their strengths - the difference was like swapping a pair of too-tight shoes for ones that fit perfectly.
More than 50% of employees are miserable in their role - not because they're no good at their job but frequently because the job is a poor fit... another major factor is the boss is a jerk but that's for another post 😉
